Works & Company was founded in May 2017 by husband and wife entrepreneurs, Joseph and Sarah Works. The goal of our business is to provide small companies and individuals with an exceptional accounting experience.

Joseph R. Works, CPA, CGMA
Owner/Accountant
Joe began his accounting career in 2000 and has worked in both the private and public sector. He is a U.S. Army veteran and graduated from Middle Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2010. Joe then obtained his Master of Accountancy from Stetson University in 2013. He is currently the Controller at Fickling & Company in Macon. Joe is a member of The Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA. In the past, he has served on a number of local non-profit boards.

When he isn't working, Joe loves to train Jiu Jitsu, read, ride his Peloton, travel, camp, watch college football, and spend time with his family.
Sarah S. Works
Owner/Accountant
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration from the University of Alabama, has extensive experience with bookkeeping & payroll, and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She grew up in Alaska and has been married to Joe since 1998. They have one son, Mason, who keeps them busy!
Sarah enjoys reading novels, watching college football, traveling, camping, riding her Peloton and spending time with her family & friends.
